CHAPTER I - THE DISCOVERY

"In the fall of 1995 my wife, Susan, and I were asked to help identify some unknown artwork that had come from the Haynes estate in Bozeman, Montana. The art had belonged to Isabel Haynes, the last remaining heir to the distinguished Haynes family, pioneer photographers and concessionaires of Yellowstone National Park. We were contacted about the artwork because of our interest and knowledge of Yellowstone Park antiques and postcards. Little did we realize that we were about to make the most incredible discovery of our lives!"
